On May 1st, 2022, the International Labor Day, there was a new position in Shanghai Hailiang Copper Industry Company -- nucleic acid detection sampler. Since then, the company's volunteers put on protective clothing and officially took over the “baton” from medical staff, becoming a member of “angels in white” and getting the “star” skill.
From“0” to “14,280”
At present, the Shanghai Hailiang sampling team has completed 17 rounds of independent nucleic acid sampling, with a total of 14,280 people collected from about 840 people per day. A seemingly simple action, however, requires volunteers to overcome their inner tension, from the nervousness and scruples of trying to put a sampling swab into someone’s mouth for the first time, to being proficient after 17 rounds of sampling.
From “8 o’clock” to “7 o’clock”
In order to ensure that the normal commute of other employees is not affected, and in view of the need to spread out as much as possible for sampling, the sampling time was set at 7:15 AM. Volunteers need to arrive at the sampling site before 7:00 AM to start changing clothes and prepare for sampling. In addition to getting up one hour earlier every day, they still stayed at this new position throughout the May Day holiday and all other rest days, completing rounds of nucleic acid sampling.
From “240 Min” to “100 Min”
I still remember the first independent sampling which took the volunteers a full 4 hours to complete. They wore airtight protective clothing and covered with sweat in the sultry environment and tense atmosphere. With the continuous improvement of proficiency, the reasonable adjustment in the number of registration and sampling, and the self-created simple code scanning rack to improve the flow of the team, the overall sampling time has been constantly reduced and the efficiency has been increased by nearly 1.5 times.
Reason in protective clothing, is selflessness, is courage
Is a positive response without scruple
Is a choice to be responsible
Shanghai, closed again after two years
No preparation, no rehearsal
Everything came in a rush
But, people in Hailiang have the same
Determination and courage in “I can do it, I will do it”
To make our company run smoothly during the closure and control
As Sushi of the Song Dynasty said in his Former Fu on Red Cliff, all things change in very short time, but if, on their unchanging side, all things, like us, are eternal. No matter how the external environment changes, as long as "she or he" is there, as long as the spirit of Hailiang people is there, we will steadily move forward in the face of any storm.
