In September, Zhejiang Hailiang Co., Ltd. kicked off its construction on the Production Base Project in Sealy, Houston, USA, reflecting that Hailiang was another step closer to having its own factory in the United States. On October 29th, the most beautiful time of autumn, Zhejiang Hailiang ushered in a group of guests who came from afar—representatives of the Greater Houston Partnership of the United States, including officials from the Houston Partnership and the Sealy Economic Development Board and the Sealy Independent District Education Bureau. Their visit to Hailiang aimed to learn more about its corporate culture and express their sincere gratitude to Hailiang for choosing the city of Sealy. Zhu Zhangquan, chairman and general manager of Zhejiang Hailiang Co., Ltd., together with senior managers of the company, warmly welcomed them.

Zhejiang Hailiang is going to march into the US market. In order to strengthen the understanding of its team managers responsible for the US project to the American corporate culture to effectively promote relevant work, Zhejiang Hailiang invited Chen Fan, co-founder of Nguyen & Chen LLP to deliver relevant training lectures on the afternoon of the 29th.

Mr. Chen analyzed the differences of the corporate cultures between Chinese and American enterprises and explained the corporate values, corporate goals, basic codes of conduct and institutional management practices between the two. During his speech, the participants were actively encouraged to discuss with him in terms of the problems and practical difficulties encountered when carrying out the US project.

This training seminar aimed to help Hailiang’s managers to learn more about US-related businesses, enable the smooth process of the US project, and lay a solid foundation for Hailiang’s global layout.
